Acting Work
Yongwoo Park (SAG-AFTRA, represented by Lily’s Talent Agency) has been acting since the age of six when he stunned audiences with his powerful performance as “Important Elf” in some holiday play his elementary school music teacher wrote.
Since that powerful debut, he has performed onstage and on camera in projects across Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Florida.
Credits include Chicago PD (NBC), The Chinese Lady (pictured, Studio Theatre Tierra del Sol), and You for Me for You (Sideshow Theatre).
Yongwoo has a strong background in improv and sketch comedy, as a former member of the Asian American comedy ensemble Stir Friday Night. In 2016, he was selected for the prestigious Bob Curry Fellowship with Second City.
Currently, Yongwoo regularly teaches and performs with PlayMakers Laboratory, a theatre and education company that teaches Chicagoland students creative writing, then adapts the students’ stories into songs and plays. He has written numerous songs for the company, some of which live online as music videos he has directed.
